Digg experienced a massive user revolt due to the pulling of the hexadecimal code to decode HD-DVDs. The story was so big it was actually noted on Drudge Report (as a “nerd revolt”). I haven’t seen carnage like this since they cancelled naptime at the local kindergarten! Zing!
Dell will start shipping PCs preloaded to Ubuntu, due to the high demand from people that said they would never buy a prebuilt machine.
NVidia introduced the GeForce 8800 Ultra. Now if they would just introduce the Gee-I-would-like-stable-drivers model, everyone would be happy.
Lexar will begin shipping their ExpressCard SSD drive (32GB). Obviously bowing to the ReadyBoost lobbyists!
Macs are soooo secure. Unless you have a USB drive. Like the MacLockPick. Then you’re borked.
PlayStation creator Kutaragi has decided to retire, leaving Sony with what scientists are calling “A Vacuum within a Vacuum” of leadership at the top.
