In the news…
 
Anti-spyware vendor get fined $1MM for spamming, thus proving there is a God. Toshiba announces that they have 100GB 1.8” drives ready to go, leading to speculation that a 100GB iPod is right around the corner.
 
In A/V news, two interesting iPod docks have been announced, the WiDock and the Tuneview. Leaked photos of the Samsung YP-K3 give us a peak at a truly sex MP3 player. Belkin has finally started shipping it’s non-standards conforming wireless USB solution. Rumors are circling that Dell will be introducing a 27” LCD to round out its choices.
 
The only big Apple news involves the ‘leak’ by Kevin Rose of the iPhone, a device that may actually predate the term “rumor mill”.
 
In gaming news, plenty of Wii testimonials, but many to the fragility of the wiimote strap, which appears to be breaking too easily. Nintendo did sell 600,000 Wiis in 8 days, so that’s a lot of straps to replace. A driver has been made for using the wiimote with Windows and MacOS, if you’re into laggy, imprecise mice. Sony execs have been quoted as saying that the PS4 is slated for a 2010 launch. Meanwhile, the PS3 should soon be getting the ability to upscale DVDs to 1080p. The PSP, with firmware v3 can now download old PS1 games.
 
And as for random news, Wowwee is close to introing their remote controlled dragonfly, sure to piss off cubicle mates everywhere. And, a British author is tormented by WiFi signals.
